He comes off as intense, as even when he seems controlled and unmovable, there’s a fire brewing under his composed exterior. It’s compelling though, easily drawing people to him even when he’d rather to be over-looked. He’s considerate in conversation, and also rather reserved. However, he can be an asshole, depending on whom he’s conversing with. More than likely it’s with someone he likes immensely, as he finds nothing better than pushing a person’s buttons so as to try and push them away from him. He doesn’t believe in love. Scratch that; he doesn’t want to, and if he gets too close to someone, that’s every reason to give that ugly emotion an opportunity to rear it’s head. He can’t have that.

He often reads people rather well, and prides himself in knowing a good character from a completely shady one. Don’t get mistaken, as he’s not always right, but he’s more so than wrong. This is the reason why he only has a small select group of friends, and doesn’t permit too many into his ‘circle’. That and he’s picky. There’s no earthly way in which he could be on a peaceful level with everyone, and if he was, life would have probably been boring.

He’s secretive as well, not liking his past or present to become privy to anyone unless he deems them trust-worthy. It’s of his opinion that people have motives, and will use what they learn against you. No, he isn’t excessively paranoid, as he does let certain people in, but he doesn’t like others having an unnecessary upper-hand on him. If you get to know him well enough, you will earn his trust, and it’s best to not lose it as he will soil your reputation in the same way you’ve soiled his. Vindictiveness was a learned trait, and he knows no better.

Jealousy is a problem. Whether it be over someone he likes, or something he wants and can’t have. He won’t fight for it, but he will hit you with a seething stare, giving promise to the saying that ‘if looks can kill, you’d be dead’. Although he won’t physically scuffle, he will try his damnedest to get whatever he wants, working towards it like a mad man. And if whatever he does fails, he’ll sit back and brood in his room, alone. He doesn’t like being interrupted in these times, as the quiet helps him to clear his head. It’s something he inherited from his unknown father, as they both hate failure.

Tristan can be impartial in many matters, able of passing judgment without a biased opinion. Maybe it’s because he isn’t loyal to many people that makes this possible, or maybe it’s his detached nature. Whatever the case may be, he isn’t one to take sides, friend or no friend. However, he will not tolerate anybody challenging his decisions. After all, the truth in his conclusion is completely obvious, and anybody who cannot see it is a complete idiot. If they continue to argue, he becomes impatient and lashes back, being someone that dislikes any sort of criticism. Why not give him the approval and praise he so desires? He will not settle and cave in so as not to be hated though, as once he’s made up his mind, there’s pretty much no changing it -- he’s never mistaken, and this confidence won’t be altered so as to soothe someone else’s feelings.

Aside from the negative, he can be a great friend. He’s compassionate and helpful, trying his best to assist those he cares about. He just doesn’t like seeing people ruin themselves if he could prevent it. Persuasion has gotten him far, but he hates it when his hard work goes down the drain. One problem he has is people trying to relentlessly ruin him, as that would destroy what could have been a good acquaintanceship before its even started.
He does have strong loyalties, and can be a terrific friend. If you can keep this boy’s trust, you have someone on your side that’s going to be there for you through the good and the bad. He’ll fight for you, and do anything you ask of him. Sure he’s gotten walked over a few times because of this, and it’s the reason his guard has been lifted just that much higher, but it doesn’t matter. As even though he likes his alone time, he prefers having a good friend. Being completely unsociable is unhealthy for him as it is.

Although he may seem completely withdrawn from everything that’s going on around him, Tristan is actually quite aware of his environment and those that surround him. He’s extremely watchful, though does it inconspicuously. It’s just one of those things, where he’d rather be in the know than being caught off guard. He isn’t interfering, as he isn’t going to try and involve himself in matters that don’t include him. But if things get hostile, best believe he’s going to be out the door before the first fist is thrown. If it’s a friend and someone else tussling, he’ll either attempt to break it up or join in. It all depends on if the other has been violent towards him, otherwise he won’t do anything except the former.

Janice Larson was one of those people who had their futures already written out. She had what was thought of to be the perfect life -- great student, member of numerous clubs, and she never got into trouble. There was no doubt in anyone’s mind that she was going to make something out of her life. And her parents thought so too -- their daughter was going to an ivy league college, and hopefully become a lawyer or a doctor. But those dreams turned out to be only just that…dreams. Janice was far from perfect. She didn’t want the life her parents wanted her to have, keeping a somewhat secondary life, a double persona. No one was any the wiser, as the establishments she frequented were those that she was sure those she knew would never step foot into.

It wasn’t long before her wild partying transformed into destructive behavior. She’d disappear on the weekends, coming home appearing stoned or having a hangover. Sex became something she craved when she was high, and it didn’t matter her whom she was having intercourse with -- no name exchange made for less complications. If it was one thing she was lucky with, it was the fact that those she slept with had protected themselves, an in essence her. Her parents took note of her changing ways and falling grades, and did the only logical thing -- they sent her to a rehabilitation center. They didn’t know how else to help their baby girl. Here was where she met the man that would change her life.

Nigel Alexander was a counselor at one of the drug and abuse rehab centers in Texas. Not once had he been attracted to a member until the day Janice walked into his office for her first counseling session. He found it hard not to stare into her hard yet captivating eyes. Of course he wouldn’t act upon his attraction, as she was still underage, and the center’s rules made it impossible. If he wanted to keep his job, he’d remain professional. Working with her was difficult, especially when she’d decided that seduction was the easiest way to be released. He was a man… he could only ignore her for so long. The affair was kept under-wraps, and despite Janice’s initial motives, she found it hard to not fall in love with the man who cared that much for her. To her, it would be complete torture to leave the facility, and possibly never see him again. But she’d promised to get better. She promised to make a change.

A couple months after she was home again, she found herself pregnant. They’d been using protection, but she knew the odds of conception were still there. This could be what she needed to see him once again. Things weren’t that simple though. Her father was transferred to a newer branch of his business in South America. A fresh start was what they all needed, in his opinion anyway. There was no way that Janice and Nigel could be together. She wouldn’t ruin his reputation, and he couldn’t possibly follow them. So she made a decision -- she’d raise her child without Nigel’s knowledge.

Tristan Chase Alexander had a normal enough childhood. He had a mother who loved him, and grandparents who never ceased to dote. In the back of his mind however, he wondered why there wasn’t a father. His mother always told him stories, but he never quite believed them. Why didn’t she have any pictures? Or a phone number? Sometimes, he wondered if the man even existed. That he wasn’t just some dream man from his mother’s imagination. The guy just seemed too good to be true. In time, he stopped asking her about him altogether. Why yearn for someone you’d never meet? His mother was just one of those people who believed in fairy-tales and happy endings. He was too practical for that.

His high-school years were fairly typical. He aimed for good grades, was on the high-school's baseball team, and had his fair share of friends. He wasn’t one for relationships, and avoided them as much as he could. Women to him were only necessary for a few flings and then disposed of. He’d seen what happened to people who became attached -- his mother was a prime example, either clinging unto the past or a delusion. That was the case until he met Seth. He had never thought of guys in that way before but he didn’t care when he met his soon to be boyfriend. It wasn’t till a couple of months later that Tristan realized that he was getting way too attached to Seth. He was wanting more with the boy and he wanted sex to prove how much he loved Seth. Because seth wasn’t ready for that, Seth broke up with him. It was all fine until he had seen Seth talking to another kid. It made him angry that Seth would go after someone else so fast. After all Tristan was one of the most jealous people ever.
