Keeping quiet for more than five minutes was going to be hard for Delilah, even though she was alone at the moment. The girl was a constant chatterbox and the filter in her head that decided what was acceptable to say out loud and what wasn't wasn't really selective, so she could talk about just anything.
Humming softly to herself, she made her way to the book aisles, looking at the topics on their sides not to have to wander for too long and loose her time here.Once she found the good one, she scanned the book titles with her head tilted to the side slightly as she glided her index finger on the book covers.
Delilah frowned slightly when she wouldn't find one that seemed thick enough to contain enough information on the matter and dared to look up. In her head anyway, a halo of light surrounded this one huge book about STD's and she got on the tip of her toes to reach it, stretching her arm as much as she could, but only being able to touch it with the tip of her fingers. Delilah frowned, trying to grab it, ''Ugh!'' She groaned, keeping on trying. She sighed at her vain efforts and looked around for a tiny ladder of some sort, but there was none.
She chewed on her inner cheek, obviously annoyed as she tried to find a solution to her problem. She wanted a book that was too high for her to reach, but she really needed it in order to start her research about aids. ''Oh, I know!'' She exclaimed out loud, taking a few steps forward and gripping the edge of the shelves, using them as a ladder itself to move up and get the book. At least, that's how it was supposed to work out when the idea sprouted in her mind and as her fingers finally gripped the novel. What she did not expect was for her to lose her balance and threaten not only to fall, but also to get rewarded by being smacked in the face by a humongous book about aids. Delilah squealed loudly as she tried to keep her fingers from slipping and the novel from falling.
